   The Worthington family resided in England, Lancaster Shire, as early as 1236, when William de Worthington's name appears in the records. A Nicholas Worthington of Hatfield, Connecticut is named in this book as the first to migrate to New England as early as 1649 or '50.  He married Sara White, a widow. They had five children, 3 daughters and 2 sons, John and Thomas, whose descendants are detailed in this book.
