The family of Vaughn, or Vychan as it was originally written, is one of the oldest in the British Isles.  Few families since the Norman Conquest have been more prominent in English history.  This book details the life and descendants of the original immigrant William Vaughn, who arrived in New England in 1664.  He died in New Hampshire in 1719.  He and his wife Margaret (Cutt) were the parents of eight children.

Also included in this book is an account of the Vaughns of South Wales, together with copies of official papers relating to the Vaughns of New Hampshire, taken from the English colonial records in London.
