The history and genealogy of the descendants of William Strobridge form the principal portion of this book.  He was born about 1690 somewhere near Londonderry, in the North of Ireland.  He married Margaret Henry in 1716, and together with their first child the migrated to New England about 1719.  He was a blacksmith.  William and Margaret had seven children; four sons and three daughters.  They lived in Middleborough, now Lakeville, Massachusetts.  It is their descendants to the sixth generation who are outlined in detail in Part One of this book.

Part Two of the book focuses on the genealogy of the descendants of  William Morrison.  He was the son of Robert Morrison who came to New England in 1740.  William married in 1748, Sarah Montgomery.  They resided in North Bridgewater, Massachusetts.  Together they had five sons.  These descendants are listed into the sixth generation.

The third part of this book gives a partial genealogy of the Strawbridge family.  Those mentioned are Joseph of Westwood, Maryland; Rev. Thomas of Cardonagh, Co. Donegal, Ireland; the Strawbridge family of Chester Co., Pa.; William, Philip, and Justus of Columbia Co., Pa.; Rev. Robert of Baltimore, Md., John of Philadelphia and Tioga Co., Pa.; the Strawbridge family of York Co., Pa.; and Dr. George of Philadelphia, Pa.  There is also mention of the Strowbridge/Strawbridge family of Northumberland Co., Pa.
