Henry Rust, to whom this work is devoted, came from Hingham, England to Hingham, Massachusetts in about 1634 or 1635. The exact date is not known. The first mention of his name occurs in Hingham records dated June, 1635. He removed to Boston in 1651. His wife's name does not appear in the records, however, they had three sons from whom the subsequent descendants originate. The date of his death is not known but estimated to have occurred about 1684 - 1685.
