This book contains the family records of four early Davis residents of Essex County, Massachusetts. Detailed are: Thomas DAVIS (b.c. 1603 - d. 7 Apr 1668), "mason" of Haverhill, Essex County; James DAVIS (b.c. 1583/84 - d. 29 Jan 1678/79) of Haverhill, Essex County; Francis DAVIS (b.c. 1650 - d. 12 Apr 1710) of Amesbury, Essex County; and John DAVIS (b.c. 1612 - d. 12 Nov 1675), "yeoman" or "planter" of Newbury and Amesbury, Essex County.
Also, in this book are Davis references from Savage's Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England written by James Savage of Boston, Mass., in 1860.
