Chapman Neal Blackwell moved to Henderson, Ky. (Todd Co.) in 1832, died there. Three sons moved there with him: Paul, Branch, James. Transcriber's Note: Bell is correct regarding the marriage of Nancy Jeffress Blackwell to William Arvin. However, Chapman Neal Blackwell remained in Lunenburg County through 1840, as evidenced by his enumeration in the census of that year. During the 1840's, he removed to Henderson County, Ky. rather than Todd Co, and was enumerated in Henderson Co. in the 1850 census. His daughter Nancy and his son-in-law, William Arvin, lived for a few years in Henderson Co., Ky., returning to Lunenburg by September, 1851, suggesting that Chapman Neal Blackwell had died in Henderon Co. Ky. prior to then. Chapman's wife, Prudence Russell Jeffress, remained in Henderson County, being enumerated there in 1860 as a member of the family of her son Paul.
