The book is divided into 5 parts.
Part One, The Reading Family, covers the descendants of William Hooper, who at age 18 came over in 1635 and settled at Reading Mass. His wife was Elizabeth, possibly a sister of William Marshall. He married 2nd Ruth (____).
Part Two, The Marblehead Family, details the descendants of Robert Hooper who first appears in the records in 1663. His wife was named Elizabeth (_____). Four children are attributed to them.
Part Three, The Beverly Family, traces John Hooper in England and his son Francis Hooper whose name appears in the records of Marblehead in 1662.
Part Four, The Maine Family, names John Hooper and Thomas Hooper as the earliest Hoopers in Maine.
The Appendix lists other Hooper in England and America.
