John Hill is first mentioned in the Dorchester records dated Jan. 6, 1633/4. His possible Hill family in England is recounted in the Visitation of Somersetshire of 1623. He, and his wife, Frances (____) had 13 children: John, Frances, Rebecca, Mary, Samuel, Jonathan, Hannah, Mercy, Ruth, Ebenezer, Israel, Martha, and Mehitable. The descendants of these individuals comprise the contents of this article which was reprinted from the NEHGR issue of July, 1904.
