This book details the earliest generations of the Graves family in New England. Also included is a brief sketch of the family in England and Ireland.
The first of the name in New England is Thomas Graves who immigrated from England prior to 1645. Thomas and his wife Sarah had five children, all born in England. Their names were Isaac, John, Samuel, Nathaniel and Elizabeth.
Isaac resided in Hartford; John in Wethersfield; Samuel never married; the rest removed to Hatfield, Mass. and settled there.
