     Presented in this booklet is the life and descendants of John Gay who immigrated to New England in about 1630.  He settled first in Watertown, removing in 1636 to become one of the founders of Dedham.  With his wife Joanna, they had eleven children.  He died in Dedham between 1686, the date on his will, and 1689 when the will was proven in court.  Descendants to the eighth generation are detailed in this booklet.
