This book details seven generations of the known descendants of David Fluker (I) of Northumberland County, Virginia. His name first appears in extant records on the militia muster roll of Lancaster County, dated 14 Dec. 1687.  A "list of the freeholders and housekeepers inhabiting ye said county and we do find upon ye due inquiry that many of them are very poor and despicable persons."  It is not known whether he was counted among the many or the few.

Also included in this book are some of the many descendants of Dioclesion Davis of Davisboro in Washington County, Georgia, who married 22 Dec. 1778, Nancy Ann Fluker, daughter of David Fluker (III).
