This book details the 5 progenitors and their descendants of the families named above. The separate parts are: No. I. The Clark Family. From the book: "The earliest account we have of the Clark family is of four brothers and one sister, descendants of English ancestry, the date of whose emigration to America is not known. These were all born in Amelia Co., Va., and were : Thomas, William, Dudley, George and Nancy.
We have no further knowledge of these except Thomas, the eldest, who was born about 1753 and who married a widow, Priscilla Tucker, of N. C., whose maiden name was Doyle."

No. II. The Parks Family; from the book "Samuel Parks resided in Amelia Co., Va., and died there, leaving a widow, Mary Parks, and eight sons and daughters. The family moved to S. C., and the widow died there.

No. III. The Brockman and Dean Families; from the book "When the family came to America or who the first ancestor was is not known to the writer. They resided in Va., probably in Orange or Albemarle county." John Brockman was the earliest known of that name in the United States.  John Dean, born in Guilford County, North Carolina, was the earliest known of that name.

No. IV. The Davis Family; from the book "JONATHAN DAVIS, who was the founder of the Davis family in the United States of which the following account treats, was born in England about 1730, and came to America when quite young.

and No. V. The Goss Family; from the book "About 1760, Benjamin Goss, Sr., with two brothers came from Germany to America. They lived on the Rhine river, near the line, at that time, between Germany and France. The descendants of one of these brothers are scattered all over North Ga., White, Habersham, Cass and other counties. Some have emigrated to other states. The descendants of the other brothers are scattered pretty well all over the United States."
