His name, Isaac Cummings or Comings, begins appearing in the records as early as 1639. He was born about 1601 and his immigration to New England probably occurred between 1630 and 1638. The name of his wife is not known. He had four known children, two sons and two daughters. His will was dated 1677. The descendants recorded in the book go to the tenth generation.
