This publication contains detailed abstracts of all 327 documents that were recorded in Brunswick County Deed Book 3, and includes every name mentioned anywhere in the deed book. In addition to providing much information about the early settlers of Brunswick County, this publication includes a 1748 poll list of Brunswick (because the poll list happens to be in this particular deed book). Also, since Lunenburg County was created from Brunswick County, it gives people with Lunenburg ancestry another potential source of early information about their ancestors.
Dates in this deed book utilize the old style, Julian Calendar, in which New Year's Day occurs on March 25. In cases where a double date was used in the deed book (i.e., the old style year/the new style year), the double date was retained in this volume.
