Formerly called "Indian Town on Housatunnock River.
Part established as West Stockbridge on March 9, 1774.
Bounds established, June 17, 1774.
Part annexed to West Stockbridge, March 2, 1829.
The Act of March 2, 1829 was ammended on February 6, 1830.
The bounds between Stockbridge and Great Barrington were re-established and a part annexed to Great Barrington on April 21, 1958.
Approximately 1,530 names are recorded in this book.
