Refund/return policy statement

   Due to the unique nature of the contents of our books, i.e. genealogical data and records, GWM does not offer refunds once a book has been sold.  The only exceptions to this policy are if the customer receives the book and it has been damaged in transit.  

   In the case of a new book, the damaged book must be returned to GWM with a statement from the delivering agent that the book was delivered in a damaged condition. GWM will then re-ship another book with the same stock number to replace the damaged book.

   In the case of a used book (which are one of a kind,) that was damaged in transit. The damaged book must be returned to GWM with a statement from the delivering agent that the book was delivered in a damaged condition. GWM will then offer credit towards the purchase of another book title.

   In all cases of returns, all shipping charges for returns and re-shipment of a new book must be paid by the customer.  A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the final refund amount.

   Refunds are not offered on subscriptions to our Davis surname newsletter, "Diggin' for Davises". In the case of the Internet version (Adobe PDF files) subscriber not being able to download, open, or print the files, printed versions of the newsletter will be mailed to fulfill the subscription term.
