Benjamin Ogden was a Lieutenant in the British Army, Prince of Wales American Regiment,  who was killed at the Battle of Camden in South Carolina in 1780.  After his death, because he was a "Loyalist", his remaining family and descendants removed to British colonies, mainly New Brunswick, Canada.  His wife was Rachel Westervelt. Their descendants comprise the bulk of research found in this book.
